The race for Division 1 glory at the NSW Triathlon Club Championships is shaping up to be one of the closest in recent history!
Three powerhouse clubs — Cronulla Triathlon Club, Balmoral Triathlon Club, and Warringah Triathlon Club are locked in an incredibly tight battle each pushing hard to get everyone they can onto the start line, knowing full well that every point and every athlete will count!
Cronulla, with 55 locked and loaded onto the start line, come with a depth of talent which would make other clubs blush. They are pushing hard to take out the victory in their 40th year anniversary. Balmoral’s passionate squad, currently sitting on 57 members heading to Forster, has been rising fast. This will be their biggest team ever! Still fuelled by their second place last season, we know this will continue to grow over the coming weeks. Warringah, haven’t won 6 years in a row by accident and are never ones to back down from a challenge, continuing to show incredible team spirit and are right in the mix with 69 of their members so far heading up to Forster. A last minute rush? Strategy?
We’ll know in just a few weeks, but at the moment it’s impossible to pick a clear favourite. Every event, every competitor, every volunteer and technical official plus every finish will matter more than ever as these clubs jostle to take that top spot after an incredible season of racing. We cannot wait
The 2025 Club Champs promises an unforgettable showdown as these three proud clubs fight for the ultimate bragging rights in NSW triathlon. Stay tuned — Division 1 is going right down to the wire!
